ILLUMINATED SCLERAL DEPRESSORS
Standard for all DORC 23-27G endoillumination probes
Combining the benefits of enhanced EVA illumination* with the control of a targeted external scleral depressor.
"During surgeries, it may require a detailed inspection of the retinal periphery and in the presence of anomalies, an immediate treatment of the critical zone is carried out. This can occur during vitrectomies of limited duration and/or extension, thus performed by a single operator and without the support of devices for endoillumination (e.g. twin lights or chandelier).
As shown in the video clip, the intraocular light probe of the EVA machine covered by its disposable cap and used as an illuminated depressor was particularly useful. If necessary, it allows for reinforcement of prior laser treatment immediately before silicon oil removal in successfully repaired retinas, or for an effective endolaser treatment of unperceived fractional areas or peripheral tears visualized during the course of macular surgery.''
